2020年6月，王震宇教授和Baoshan Xing教授以共同通讯作者在Environmental Science & Technology 发表封面文章: “Photodegradation Elevated the Toxicity of Polystyrene Microplastics to Grouper (Epinephelus moara) through Disrupting Hepatic Lipid Homeostasis”。文章首次研究了微塑料光降解对海洋鱼类肝毒性的调节机制，为微塑料在海洋环境中光降解后的潜在危害提供了新思路。
